in case you were wondering, kuhteeuh is the phoenetic pronunciation of my name - katja.  i was born and raised in vacaville, attended college in san francisco, and currently reside in solano county, california. my artistic eye has been shaped by the diverse sceneries here where i have spent a lifetime watching the valley bloom, the cities sparkle, and the fog roll over the hills. these aren’t just locations to me. they are the backdrop of my life and the foundation of my imagery. 

i utilize a professional sony system and signature prime lenses, chosen for their ability to capture intimate details with infinite clarity. my approach to creation is intuitive, guided by a lifelong instinct for light, color, and emotion. this allows me to see the hidden details in a landscape or love story. at the core of my work is an intuitive curiosity for balance and rhythm. i bring a meticulous eye to my digital darkroom, where i bring years of expertise within lightroom and photoshop. i refine and finish every frame to ensure the lighting and colors are everlasting and in harmony with the atmosphere.

for weddings, the experience begins with an inquiry about your day & vision. on the day of, i am capturing every piece of your story as it unfolds. within 48 hours, you will receive a sneak peek gallery, a first glimpse into your images. i ensure every frame receives the meticulous editing & artistry it deserves. within 8 weeks, your fully finished gallery is delivered, ready to be downloaded, shared, and printed.

“how do we initiate the process?”

the first step is to initiate a conversation by filling out the inquiry form.

“how do we secure our date?”

a signed agreement and a retainer are required to officially archive your date on my calendar.

“do we get the RAW (unedited) files?”

to maintain the integrity of the artistry, i do not release the unedited RAW files. you will receive a fully finished, high-resolution digital gallery.

“how many images will we receive?”

i prioritize a curated gallery of your most special moments, while showing the whole story. typically, this results in around 20 - 30 curated frames per hour of coverage. i capture all the details i see (e.g., the big moments, the centerpieces, the shoes, bridesmaids laughing, grandma crying) as well as any must-have shots on your list. this ensures every frame in your gallery is an intentional and exquisite photo.
